The Advisor Behind My Safe Money Matters
Mark Rogers is the founder of My Safe Money Matters and host of the Talking Turning 65 retirement education podcast. He holds the Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations, has been an active NAIFA member since 2008, and has spent more than 20 years helping clients across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho prepare for retirement.
After earning his degree from Washington State University and beginning his career at Hewlett Packard, Mark transitioned into independent advisory work focused on the retirement needs of rural and agricultural communities. His mission remains simple: help people make informed decisions about retirement income, insurance, and long-term care.
His practice is built on one belief: an informed client makes a better decision. That philosophy drives every consultation, annual review, and educational resource he provides.
"I live on a small farm in eastern Washington. My clients are my neighbors. That is not a marketing line — it is just the truth."
— Mark Rogers, CLTC, LUTCF
How Mark Works — and Why It Is Different
Education Before Everything
Education Before Everything Mark is known for turning complex retirement topics into plain English. Whether through a podcast episode, seminar, or one-on-one conversation, he explains every option before making a recommendation so clients can move forward with confidence.
Annual Reviews. Every Client. Every Year
Annual Reviews. Every Client. Every Year. Retirement planning does not stop after a policy is issued. Every client receives annual reviews and ongoing check-ins to evaluate life changes, contract performance, and new planning opportunities. The review process is a core part of how Mark serves clients.
There When You Need Him Most
There When You Need Him Most Whether helping a family file a long-term care claim, answering questions about an existing policy, or reviewing a strategy years later, Mark remains available when clients need guidance. Accessibility is not a marketing promise — it is a practice standard.
Independent. No Conflicts
Independent. No Conflicts. Mark works with AIG, Allianz, Lincoln, Corebridge Financial, Great American, North American, Protective, Accordia Life, and American Life. Because he is independent, recommendations are based on client needs — not carrier quotas.

Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) — a designation emphasizing ethical and informed strategies for life insurance, annuities, and retirement income planning.
He has been an active member of NAIFA — the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors — since 2008. NAIFA promotes ethical conduct, consumer advocacy, and professional accountability within the insurance and financial services industries.
"I have been doing this for over 20 years and I still believe the same thing I believed at the start — an informed client makes a better decision. That is why education comes before anything else." — Mark Rogers, CLTC, LUTCF
